1、 Add approximately 580g~600g of solid potassium hydroxide (GB/T2306-1997 chemical purity) to 1L of purified or distilled water (meeting medical standards) to prepare an electrolyte with a density of 1.30g/cm ³ ± 0.01g/cm ³.

2、 After the electrolyte cools to room temperature, check the density value with a densitometer. If it is qualified, let it stand for more than 24 hours and use the clear electrolyte from the upper layer.

  III

  (1) The prepared electrolyte should be stored in a sealed container to avoid inhaling carbon dioxide from the air.

  (2) If the electrolyte appears cloudy, blackened, or discolored, it cannot be used.

  (3) The prepared electrolyte has a shelf life of 7 days.

  (4) The storage period of purified water or distilled water for preparing electrolyte is 7 days.

  (5) The container for preparing electrolyte should be enamel or stainless steel vessel.

4、 If the electrolyte density is lower than 1.29g/cm ³, add a small amount of potassium hydroxide to adjust the density to 1.30g/cm ³ ± 0.001g/cm ³. If the density is greater than 1.31g/cm ³, add purified water or distilled water and adjust it to the range of 1.30g/cm ³ ± 0.001g/cm ³.

5、 After adjusting the electrolyte density with potassium hydroxide, purified water, or distilled water, it is necessary to stir evenly and lower the electrolyte temperature to room temperature before testing the electrolyte density.
